Holier Than Thou Democrat Offended by Widestreets

Mary Stack, second vice chair, has just circulated an order through the Weld Co. executive committee demanding that all links to the widestreets.net blog be taken off the site (as well as the private site that no one can see except the EC). She appears not to like my use of strong language or my indictment of Udall. Sorry Mark, but I stand behind what I said. Below is my response:

Thanks for the web traffic that will necessarily result as a result of your indignation.

If Mark Udall's behaviour is what we can expect from Democrats we work hard to elect, then I want to ask all of you exactly why we are trying so hard?

I (and the pseudonym jobu) believe that the Constitution of the United States requires that Congress act as a check, balancing the power of the President. What Mark Udall has signified with this vote is either 1) that he does not understand or agree with this interpretation, or 2) that he feels it necessary to trade away Constitutional protections in order to get elected.

Either interpretation is shameful, and Mary, I think it's time you grew up and put on your big girl pants. Instead of continuing to play the role of sychophant to power, maybe you ought to grow some principles and stand for them.
