An Outrage

While we all scrammble, being democrat or republic"noticans" are attempting to find a way to address our "oil issue", Cuba in partnership with China have began drilling for oil, 50 miles off the coast of Florida. This is but another slap in the faces of us who struggle paying outrageous prices for gas. When is our government, elected by the people, going to stand up and oppose anyone from drilling near our shores? If we can't drill, who is approving permits for foreign countries to do so.

Today our President said" we need to remove the bans on offshore drilling". Big deal, it will take almost 5 years to reap some benefit from this endeavor. Howcome we being the "most Powerful" country are always behind the 8 ball? It's my belief those we elected in the past to congress, like Marilyn Musgrave have sat on their thumbs, and collected a check for doing nothing. I feel that congress is broken and it needs to be cleaned out of those that have let our country be sold off to the highest bidder.

We trust our government to protect us from medicine being sent in from foreign countries, toys and basically everything else. What a shame that practically America produces nothing. Our trade deficits are now over 9 trillion, free trade has done nothing but to hurt us in the long run. I sincerely hope that our next President nullifies those agreements and agree on something that has teeth in it for enforcement.
