Whos Priorities?

The differance between humans and mammals is our Quality of Life, and Arts. Instead of possibly reducing the percentage of money generated for arts. The city needs to explore ways of increasing the tax base by steadily improving the financial health of its community. Ever since we heard that Leprino cheese will be coming to Greeley, some anchor stores have left our community. What ever became of those campaign promises to work towards attracting more business? Also hiring locally? The city council, in their own words said," we are laboring to balance priorities and make sound fiscal decisions". Whos priorities?

In that vein, I encourage the city council to forego the attempt of reducing the amount of monies dedicated for art. Instead use due diligence in attracting new business. Perhaps more importantly, our image somewhat tarnished, needs to be redefined. In towns across the USA they have historical places that seem to attract tourist. Howcome we can't captialize on this as well? Between the Spanish Colony and the Meeker house, why is it that we can't advertise along our highways. Come, see the FAMOUS MEEKER HOUSE, or something along those lines. Losing the smell that permeates our sky, is also a good start.
